June 7, 2006 was Xino's third birthday. We celebrated by having a photo and video shoot at a neighbor's arena. The quality is not the best as I screwed up my camera's settings, but Photoshop helped rescue them somewhat...! No great works of art here, I'm afraid. A BIG thank you to Becky and Christalle for helping me keep them moving while I took photographs -- it was HOT on Wednesday!
Videotape of Xino, on Sunday, November 5, 2006 during our third solo ride! Had to photograph the telly to get this... We spent about 20 minutes riding around, getting used to forward leg aids, but doing the most wonderful shoulder-ins and leg yields. He was so calm and accepting, no fighting of any kind, and totally understood the lateral aids, probably because we've done so much of it on the ground. We also walked over ground poles, and one that was raised off the ground, did serpentines and circles and even straight lines! I'm in seventh heaven!
